Oyster lease journals, 1913-1983.

This series contains the oyster lease journals of the Division of Marine Resources, and its predecessor agency, the State Board of Conservation, from 1913 to 1983, documenting oyster leases issued for the coastal areas of Florida. The journals include the following information for both active and canceled leases: the dates of the original leases, subsequent sales or transfers where applicable, the county locations of the leased areas, and the dates and amounts of rent paid. In addition, Volume 7 contains fiscal reports for the years 1976 through 1983.

The State Board of Conservation was created in 1933 (Ch. 16178, Laws).
